Nostalgia...

Nostalgia...My favourite word
I really miss my crazy and wired friends, a pair of my favourite jeans that could put rag-pickers to shame. I miss those days I used to sit on the steps of my old college building jus gossipin about everyone passin by.
I miss going out with friends and sitting comfortably on the steps of the posh houses behind my college (we were called the back lanners!!) eating chaats, raw mangoes, cucumber all neatly cut and spiked with salt, from road-side, eying men who passed by and attracting weirdo looks.
Gone are the days when I would sit up all night in my balcony to see the moon. I just have to think of those crazy times to know what exactly the word `nostalgia' means.
And once when the exams are around my room would be filled with papers and books .. and me and my fren Shilpa sitttin and struggling to solve a paper .. though quite offen we use study .. but like every one we use to start are gosspin . as we were in diferent collegs with common frens . But if not for her i would never study with any1 else..
And just when the shock was ebbing, I decided that I needed to learn whistling! (I had just watched a wacky, Govinda movie) . I started to practice by putting my thumb and fore finger inside my mouth just above my tongue that was folded upwards so that they (fingers) touched the roof of the mouth and blew as advised by an expert. After several attempts I never succeeded!
My group was never found of eating .. but still when ever we went out we use to manage orderin one idly each. Gone are the days when i use to watch all movies first day first show at a theatre in Majestic (for jus 50 rs balcony) as multiplex concept wasnt there.. We use to bunk all classes n stand in the long q's n get the tickets at any cost irrespective of wat ever time it use to be or wat the weather conditions would be... rite from King khan to govida would be our favourite hero to watch..
The theatre would be filled with out college students .i always wondered as to wat the lecturers did on fridays when half the college was watchin the movie.
I remember the day when we made the sukh sagar guy open his hotel at 8.30 in mornin n make us serve freash juice n bhel n pav bhaji.. and without any objection we were served wat we wanted as later in the comin years we enjoyed eatin only there ..
Its stil freash in my memory when all our frens (especially guys) would bring in the most posh cars to college jus to impress us.. but girls are always busy in there own world of gossipin.. we would never be bothered about they pressence .. me n komal would be least intersted in anythin other than imaginin ourself to be fairytales (its not tht we hve changed) n undoubtly nishi would be surrounded with all the Tom in the town ( she would be impressed with all guys of our college n we would wonder when is this all gonna end... n then they would be gyaan ki rani --pri n sapy.. (though later pri left us .. but never stpped her gyaan n sapy --will hve to write a seperate blog on her)
With many good and bad memories each of us passed out our college .. but i still miss those days...
My mum always kept my dinner in the fridge as I did night duties and got back home as late sometimes. I would open the door with my spare key and enter. Occasionally I would find small notes on the stove or stuck to the fridge which read, `There is juice in the fridge. have it' and stuffs like that.
I miss those days I used to wander aimlessly on the streets thinking up unimaginable stuffs and day-dreaming. I miss those hours I would sit all by myself in some coffee bar with a book.
So many memories... I'm reeled in nostalgia...
all this takes a back seat now , coz i enter into another commitment of my life....:):)
